Orphan Siblings provided with Treatment to Manage Rare Condition

Marwa and Zaeem are orphan siblings on the Shariya refugee camp suffering from the complex hereditary skin disease ichthyosis. They both live with an Aunt and have lost all of their memories of their father.

On June 4th, a horrific fire swept through the camp, destroying 250 family tents. Marwa's greatest loss was the ointment that she uses to help her with her skin. She applies Vaseline all over her body so uses enormous amounts to treat her condition.

REPLACING THE ESSENTIALS

Springs of Hope staff took Marwa and Zaeem to the local pharmacy, buying them 22 x eye ointments and 12 x Vaseline jars to provide for their ongoing treatment.

As contributions are made to the Emergency Fire Response Fund we aim to replace more necessary items for survivors on the camp.
